Mechanical Fitter – Kewdale, WA Challenge Pumps Pty Ltd Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for variety, stability, and a team that genuinely values quality workmanship? As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team in Kewdale . This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety, centred around pump assembly and system builds, along with testing and pipework tasks. It would suit someone who takes pride in doing the job properly, enjoys working in a close-knit team, and is comfortable adapting to different priorities throughout the day. About the Role You will be involved in a broad range of mechanical, fitting, and workshop-based tasks, including: Assembly of dewatering pumps and associated equipment Hydrostatic pressure testing Assisting with new system builds and general workshop duties Fitting pipework, valves, and related components Painting, preparation, and finishing work where required Store-based tasks, including packing, dispatch, and loading/unloading trucks Maintaining strong housekeeping and safety standards across the workshop About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Trade qualification and previous experience in a mechanical fitting role Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Ability to multitask and manage varied workshop duties Confidence working within a small team and occasionally unsupervised A proactive attitude and strong commitment to safety Competency with pipework, valves, and associated fittings Current forklift licence, up to 10 tonnes – essential Current Dogging licence or equivelant Current driver’s licence and reliable transport – essential Previous pump experience will be highly regarded, but it is not essential.
