Addiction Recovery Process Program - Program Facilitator / Counsellor Are you motivated by meaningful, purpose-driven? Does working with clients to help them achieve their potential excite and inspire you? Are you curious about what makes people - including yourself - tick? Do you believe your own inner work is not optional, but essential? If you’re saying yes, yes, yes, as you read this, then we’d love to hear from you! All About Us At The Whitehaven Clinic™ we intentionally do things differently. And it starts with our program approach. We don’t see addiction as the problem itself, but as the symptom of a ‘my life’s not working’ problem. We deliver a customised Addiction Recovery Process Program to private clinic clients attending our day rehab, and to male and female clients across WA prisons. We don’t offer group work, everything we do is delivered one-on-one ensuring each program is personalised and tailored specifically for the client. Our super-power is that we profile each client to determine specific underlying treatment needs. This structured, evidence-informed approach has had great success in helping people to live happy, healthy and fun lives. Our work is effective because our culture is grounded in integrity. We practise what we teach. We’re a team of healthy professionals who live the methodology day in, day out. What Does a Program Facilitator/Counsellor Do? The life of a Program Facilitator is fundamentally about connecting with clients and delivering a customised Addiction Recovery Process Program to them and then providing a completion report detailing their treatment gains. The best way to describe it is that you’re delivering a program, as a facilitator, but with the ability to be a counsellor to clients. You have the flexibility to teach “modules” of the program whilst resolving issues. As one client recently put it, “I’m paying you for solutions, not just to talk”. You will also work with family members and partners, to help them understand the best ways to support their loved ones recovery in healthy and constructive ways. Prior to commencement, all Program Facilitator's are provided with full training on the program and personality profiling (which has been recently been independently valued at $15k!), before working with clients as part of our international accreditation process. There is a steep learning curve — this is a unique program based on world best practice — and we guarantee you will also learn a great deal about yourself along the way. Who This Role Is For This role suits someone who is purpose-driven and committed to guiding clients by being the healthiest version of themselves. The most important requirement is not your qualifications — it’s who you are and how you live. You’ll thrive in our team if you: Are deeply committed to your own healthiness and personal growth Value meaning, integrity, and depth over status or hierarchy Are self-aware and actively engaged in ongoing self-development Are open-minded, non-judgemental, and genuinely curious about people See this work as a vocation, not just a job Having faced and overcome personal challenges yourself is viewed as a strength for this role, and we want to know how it built resilience, humility, and relatability. Skills & Experience Your attitude and personal alignment matter more to us than your qualifications. That said, as a guide, definitely put your hand up if you are: Experienced in counselling or delivering a structured program format; Have some sort of degree or certificate in the world of self-development or in understanding people; Have knowledge of the Enneagram (even more brownie points if you know your type!); Committed to doing 'the work' and taking a holistic approach to your own healthiness and well-being; Self-aware, and passionate about self-improvement; A great communicator who easily builds rapport with clients and colleagues; Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office tools As some clients are prison-based, you must be willing and able to work in a custodial environment (it’s far less daunting than most people expect).
