About Exodas Transport Exodas is a well-established and growing transport company that operates along the East Coast of Australia, from North Queensland to Melbourne carrying refrigerated and general freight. We operate depots/yards in Melbourne, Sydney, Warnervale, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville, Tully, Innisfail and Mareeba, with head office in Yatala. We operate a fleet of 150 late model Kenworth, Volvo & Scania trucks, and over 350 Vawdrey and Maxicube trailers. Based at our Yatala workshop we are looking for: An experienced and qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic A 3rd year Heavy Vehicle apprentice (this is an opportunity to broaden your experience) The Roles You will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of all fleet vehicles. All heavy tooling is supplied. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic you will have: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualification(s) Ability to work in a team environment Excellent communication skills Experience with heavy vehicle mechanics, including Cummings engines Experience working with trailers Attention to detail Be competent and reliable Ability to work independently Commitment to safety Forklift license (Desirable, but not essential) As an apprentice this is an opportunity to gain experience working on a range of vehicles and types of trailers.
