We’re looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing workshop team. About the Role As our mechanical workshop continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated mechanic to join our team and play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the workshop. This hands-on role involves servicing, repairs, diagnostics and inspections across a wide range of vehicles, with opportunities to further develop your skills and grow within the business. You’ll work alongside a supportive and experienced team while having the autonomy to manage your own workflow and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service. You’ll also assist in supporting and mentoring our apprentice technician, helping maintain a positive team culture and high workshop standards. Your Responsibilities Will Include: General and Logbook servicing on passenger and light commercial vehicles Mechanical repairs including clutch, brakes, suspension and steering Lift-Kit installations Diagnostics and fault finding Vehicle inspections and reporting (including roadworthiness certificates or detailed work required to achieve roadworthiness). Working on a variety of vehicles, from 4WDs to performance/track cars Accurately diagnosing faults and test driving vehicles Maintaining a clean and organised work environment Working collaboratively with the workshop and front counter team What We’re Looking For Essential: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Strong experience across general mechanical repairs (Minimum 3–5 years) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Current manual driver’s licence Current Qld AIS Inspection Certificate or willingness to obtain Ability to work independently and within a team Current manual driver’s licence Own tools and reliable transport Reliable, motivated and professional attitude Highly Regarded: Tyre fitting and Wheel alignment experience AIS Inspection Certificate Previous experience mentoring or supporting apprentices Why Join Us?
