Golding Contractors has exciting opportunities for experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters to join our Phosphate Hill Mining Project, working on mobile plant equipment. We’ve maintained a strong partnership with our client, Southern Cross Fertilizers (Dyno Nobel), at the Phosphate Hill site in North West Queensland. This open-pit phosphate rock mine produces ammonium phosphate fertilisers. Phosphate Hill is approximately 1,000 km from Townsville. What we offer: Permanent & casual positions available Return flights from Townsville to site provided (flight time is only 1 hour 15 minutes) Comfortable camp accommodation just 10 minutes from the airport, with facilities including a wet mess and movie theatre 7-on/7-off rotating D/S – N/S roster (Thursday to Wednesday) Opportunities for training, development, and internal promotion Excellent site culture in a unique location\ Role Requirements: Trade Qualification to include Unit of Competency Current Driver's Licence High Risk Work Licence (DG, CN, EWP, LF) preferred but not essential Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening Demonstrated ability to comply with site safety systems Proven safe, professional, and productive work behaviour Experience working with CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment is highly regarded Prior experience in a similar role within the mining industry is highly valued RII certification for Test and Move Mobile Equipment highly regarded Key Role Tasks: Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults Disassemble and assemble machinery and components Perform routine servicing of all equipment, both in the site workshop and in the field Complete all maintenance-related administration tasks in a timely and legible manner Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings Contribute to hazard identification, risk assessments, and Work Method Statement (WMS) reviews If this sounds like your next permanent role with a reputable company, Click 'apply now'
