The Role: Lead and develop a high-performing Business Services team, driving productivity and accountability Take ownership of workflow, ensuring deadlines, capacity and team performance targets are consistently met Manage WIP, billing and debtor processes, ensuring commercial outcomes and efficiency Manage a diverse portfolio of SME and private clients Deliver tax compliance, financial reporting and strategic advisory services Provide guidance on tax planning, structuring and business growth strategies Act as a trusted advisor, leading client relationships and identifying growth opportunities Review work, mentor team members and lift overall capability and performance Work closely with Directors on client strategy, process improvement and firm growth initiatives About You: CA or CPA qualified 5–8 years’ experience in public practice, including proven Manager-level responsibility Strong expertise across business services, tax, and advisory Demonstrated experience managing team performance, workflow, and deadlines Confident overseeing WIP, billing, and commercial aspects of a client portfolio Strong leadership capability with the ability to mentor, coach and hold team members accountable Commercial, proactive, and solutions-focused with excellent client relationship skills Motivated to step into a long-term leadership role with a pathway to equity What’s On Offer: Clear and genuine pathway to Partnership for the right candidate Leadership role with real authority and accountability Work within a well-established, growing firm with a strong market reputation Exposure to a high-quality, loyal SME client base Direct access to Directors and involvement in strategic decision-making Supportive but high-performance culture focused on growth and results Attractive salary package of $120K–$130K Please note: This job is based in Australia therefore, only candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia will be considered.
