Finance Manager – High Growth Commercial Financial Services Business Sydney CBD | c.$160k Super Bonus The Opportunity We’re partnering with a high-growth commercial finance business as they enter an exciting new phase following a recent acquisition by a major ASX-listed organisation . With a team of c.30 (primarily sales-focused colleagues) and a lean finance structure, this is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager role offering full ownership of the finance function locally, alongside exposure to a sophisticated group finance environment. You will work closely with the Managing Director while building strong relationships with external support from an experienced Group Finance team , supporting the evolution of reporting, controls and processes. The Role This is an end-to-end finance position with responsibility across financial control, reporting and commercial support. You'll be joining the organisation as they transition from an outsourced bookkeeping service as their first in-house qualified finance hire. Key areas include: Ownership of the trial balance and month-end close Transitioning reporting from cash accounting to IFRS (with Group support) - monthly results will be shared under both frameworks to the Group Delivery of timely and accurate management and statutory reporting, highlighting commercial financial opportunities for the organisation Responsibility for BAS/GST and compliance requirements Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management Strengthening the financial control environment and processes Preparing insightful reporting and performance analysis Business partnering with the MD and senior leadership team Liaising with Group Finance (financial control, tax, treasury) About You We’re looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented, audit trained accountant who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment: CA/CPA qualified , ideally with an Audit background (second or third move into industry) ~5–8 years’ experience in financial accounting/reporting Strong grounding in month-end, reconciliations and financial control High level of attention to detail and ownership Sound working knowledge of IFRS reporting Confident engaging senior stakeholders and explaining financial insights Experience within financial services, lending, broking or similar is highly advantageous, with candidate shortlisting being prioritised in this area Why Join?
