About Us A Japanese global company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to join a well-established international business with operations across APAC. This role offers a broad scope covering financial reporting, tax compliance, project finance, and strategic support, making it ideal for a commercially minded finance professional. This is a 1-year contract with possibility to extend or become permanent. Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee end-to-end financial management including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant standards Manage group reporting requirements for regional and global stakeholders Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidations Maintain integrity of financial systems (including SAP) and accounting records Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and cash flow management Tax & Compliance Coordinate with external advisors and regulatory bodies (including ATO) Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, PAYG withholding, and FBT returns Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance Support tax planning and risk management Audit Lead external audit processes and liaise with auditors Prepare audit schedules and resolve audit queries Budgeting & Forecasting Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles across group entities Provide variance analysis and actionable financial insights Support strategic planning through financial modelling Project & Commercial Support Analyse project costs, forecasts, and financial performance Support investment activities including due diligence and structuring Provide recommendations to support business growth and decision-making Leadership & Continuous Improvement Develop and enhance financial processes, controls, and policies Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (banks, auditors, advisors) Provide guidance and support to internal teams as required Your Profile Similar experience as a Finance Manager Strong technical accounting knowledge Experience managing audits, tax compliance, and group reporting Exposure to project-based environments or investment-related finance is highly regarded Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred CPA / CA qualification Japanese language skill is preferred but not a must Please register your interest by forwarding your resume via the apply button.
