About the Opportunity We are seeking Quantity Surveyors in Sydney to play a key role in the financial and contractual management of our water and civil infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for supporting end‑to‑end commercial functions across the project lifecycle, including cost planning, procurement, forecasting and budget control. Your work will ensure project financials are accurately managed, risks are identified early and commercial outcomes are optimised. These roles offer the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers and commercial specialists to deliver high‑quality outcomes for our clients and communities. Responsibilities include Assisting with detailed cost estimation, budget development, forecasting and financial reporting Managing procurement activities, including tender evaluations, contract preparation and contract administration Supporting financial and commercial risk assessments and contributing to cost control strategies Reviewing and assessing subcontractor claims, variations and progress payments Preparing, maintaining and analysing project cost records, registers and commercial documentation Contributing to progress claim preparation and payment schedule management What You’ll Bring to the Team A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline/degree Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil and/or water infrastructure projects, with a solid understanding of commercial and contractual requirements Strong analytical and numerical capability, with the ability to interpret technical information and translate it into accurate cost and financial data Practical experience in contract administration, procurement processes, cost reporting and financial controls The ability to identify risks, support mitigation strategies and contribute to sound commercial decision‑making Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams A proactive, detail‑focused approach and a commitment to delivering high‑quality commercial outcomes Why You Should Work With Us Our people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term.
