About the role Recycling Plastics Australia is seeking a motivated and skilled Production Operator to join our team at our Kilburn facility in South Australia. This is a full-time role, working permanent night shift, consisting of 12-hour shifts across 7 shifts per fortnight. As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of our state-of-the-art plastic recycling equipment, contributing to our mission of environmental sustainability. What you'll be doing Operating and monitoring various machinery and equipment used in the plastic recycling process Performing quality checks and troubleshooting any issues to ensure consistent output and product quality Adhering to all health, safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace Assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of equipment to keep it in optimal working condition Collaborating with the production team to identify and implement process improvements Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production activities What we're looking for Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and maintain various types of industrial equipment Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly Commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to follow standard operating procedures Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues Ability and willingness to work permanent night shift, including weekends and public holidays Hold a current high risk forklift license What we offer At Recycling Plastics Australia, we are committed to providing a rewarding and supportive work environment for our employees.
