This is an excellent opportunity to be part of South Australia’s growing defence work in the heart of Woodville South within our composite manufacturing facility About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be a dedicated, and detail-oriented Painter. You will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to precision composite components used within the Aerospace, Defence, and Space industries. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and workmanship, ensuring all finished products meet stringent industry standards Key Responsibilities Prepare and apply topcoats and finishes to composite components in accordance with defence and aerospace standards Inspect and adjust spray application techniques, including angle, flow, and speed, to achieve optimal results Carry out surface preparation of composite parts, including sanding, filling, masking, and material preparation prior to coating Use hand tools for trimming, preparation, and finishing tasks Perform body filler application and blocking techniques to a high standard Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures, including the safe handling of chemicals and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Accurately document progress and report any issues or defects identified during the production process Maintain and clean spray-painting equipment and work areas About You Previous experience in automotive, industrial, aerospace, or defence painting is highly regarded Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment A proactive attitude and solid work ethic This role would ideally suit an experienced automotive painter looking to transition into the aerospace and defence manufacturing sector To apply, please send your Resume and cover letter to our HR team at aerobond.com.au for consideration.
