A truly local pub located at the entrance to Newtown the Sawyers Arms has been welcoming customers since 1850. It consists of a charming bar to share a drink with friends, two convivial dining rooms boasting rich banquet seating and a cosy open fire, outdoor areas and a dedicated function room, the menu focuses on fresh seasonal and local produce. Sawyers Arms Tavern and Gold Diggers Arms Hotel is currently looking for hardworking and dedicated Chefs of various levels to join their team. Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities: Creating menu items, and recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality Manage daily production planning. Costing and controlling kitchen operations Skills in preparing different varieties of cuisine. Creativity and high presentation standards Ability to create dishes with consistency. Skilled in preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes. Ability to contribute to menu planning. Understanding of food safety and OHS requirements. Train and manage cooks and kitchen staff. Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels Achieving all safety, hygiene and food quality Should be able to manage daily kitchen operations including ordering. Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines. To be considered for the position you must possess the following: Desirable that the right candidate will have extensive Asian Cuisine experience At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery The right candidate will have extensive in Asian Cuisine Ability to excel in a high-volume, high-pressure environment.
