The Department of the House of Representatives is seeking applications from those interested in directly supporting the work of the House of Representatives and members of Parliament at Parliament House in Canberra. About the department The Department of the House of Representatives provides services to support the efficient conduct of the House of Representatives, its committees and certain joint committees, and provides a range of services and facilities for Members of Parliament in Parliament House. The department also promotes the work of the House in the community and supports the conduct of the Parliament’s international and regional relations. About the role The Director, Engagement and Content, will: manage and oversee projects for the delivery of the department’s community relations and awareness activities, and coordinate support for events by agencies within the parliamentary service. oversee the team responsible for the department’s data and records. oversee the team responsible for the development of in-house digital products, print services and content for the department’s various community outreach channels. perform certain compliance roles for the department, including Chief Information Security Office, Information Technology Security Adviser, AI Accountable Official, Chief Data Officer. Position Duties 1. Oversee the work of the Engagement and Content section, including: Community awareness and media liaison. Data, information, records management. Web and hard copy publishing, graphic design and printing systems and services. Digital media production and social media. 2. Lead the maturing of the department’s approach to managing data, information and records, and ensure the department fulfils its cyber security compliance requirements, supported by the department’s ICT provider, the Department of Parliamentary Services. 3. Manage a range of policies, including information and data management and information security, and develop strategies for community engagement. Position Eligibility Requirements To be eligible, applicants must: Be an Australian citizen; Undertake a National Police check; Obtain and maintain a security clearance at the NV2 level.
