Two outstanding opportunities are now available for experienced Automotive Financial Controllers to join a large automotive retail operation across Melbourne. One position is based in the Mornington region, while the second opportunity supports operations in the North East of Melbourne. Both roles are senior leadership positions suited to commercially driven automotive finance professionals who thrive in fast-paced dealership environments and enjoy partnering closely with operational leadership teams to drive business performance. Working directly alongside Dealer Principals and senior management teams, you will play a key role in overseeing dealership financial operations, reporting accuracy, compliance, operational efficiencies, and finance team leadership across high-volume dealership operations. These positions require strong dealership accounting capability, excellent commercial awareness, and the confidence to influence operational outcomes within performance-driven automotive retail environments. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Oversee dealership accounting and financial operations Lead month-end reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities Deliver accurate financial reporting and operational analysis Provide commercial insights and financial guidance to operational leadership teams Operational Support Partner closely with dealership leadership across multiple sites Identify and implement operational process improvements Support stock control, deal costing, and administration functions Maintain strong internal controls and reporting consistency Leadership & Team Development Mentor and support dealership administration and accounting teams Drive capability development across finance operations Provide leadership within high-performance dealership environments Systems & Process Improvement Work extensively within Pentana Essential Maintain strong financial processes and reporting standards Contribute to ongoing operational and systems improvements About You To be considered, you will ideally bring: Previous experience as an Automotive Financial Controller Strong dealership accounting and operational finance capability Proven Pentana Essential experience (essential) Experience within high-volume dealership operations Strong month-end reporting and compliance capability CA or CPA qualifications preferred A hands-on and commercially pragmatic leadership style Exposure to multi-site dealership operations or large used vehicle departments will be highly regarded.
