Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $82,000 per year Position Summary The Human Resource Adviser is responsible for providing human resource advisory and operational support across the organisation, including recruitment, employee relations, workplace compliance, performance management support, workforce administration, and implementation of HR policies and procedures. The role supports management in maintaining compliant and effective workplace practices in accordance with Australian employment legislation and organisational objectives. Key Responsibilities • Coordinating recruitment and selection activities, including preparing job advertisements, screening applicants, arranging interviews, conducting reference checks, and assisting with onboarding processes • Maintaining employee records, HR documentation, and human resource information systems in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements • Providing advice and support to management and employees regarding workplace relations matters, company policies, procedures, performance management, and disciplinary processes • Assisting with the interpretation and application of employment legislation, Modern Awards, workplace agreements, and internal HR policies • Coordinating employee induction programs and supporting staff training and development initiatives • Supporting workforce planning, employee engagement, and staff retention initiatives across the organisation • Assisting in the preparation, implementation, and review of human resource policies, procedures, and workplace practices • Monitoring HR compliance requirements and assisting with workplace investigations, employee grievances, and conflict resolution matters • Preparing HR-related reports, correspondence, employment documentation, and workforce records for management • Liaising with employees and management to support effective workplace communication and employee relations outcomes • Supporting the implementation of workplace health and safety and equal employment opportunity policies within the organisation Position Requirements Essential • Previous experience in a human resources, workplace relations, recruitment, or employee relations role • Strong understanding of HR administration processes and workplace relations practices • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee information professionally • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems • Ability to interpret and apply workplace policies and procedures Desirable Qualifications and Experience • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, Behavioural Science, or related discipline • Understanding of Australian workplace legislation, Fair Work requirements, and Modern Awards • Experience working in hospitality or fast-paced operational environments • Experience supporting culturally diverse teams • At least one year of work experience in a similar or related position.
