About this opportunity This position is responsible for providing a positive, professional and personalised customer service experience to internal and external customers of Scenic Rim Regional Council, via all channels of customer interaction. The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim. Additionally, you’ll also … • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service to all customers of Council, both internal and external, by effectively managing customer enquiries, service requests and transactions via a multi-channel customer service centre. • Manage customer transactions, process Council applications, cash handling, end-of-day business processes, reconciliations and daily banking. • Customer Service Officers are required to rotate between Scenic Rim Reginal Council counter locations across the Administration and Customer Service Centres, according to business needs. About you… • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Customer Engagement or other relevant qualification, or an equivalent level of demonstratable experience. • Demonstrated cash handling skills including receipting and EFTPOS transactions. • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively to provide a positive customer experience. • Efficient data entry skills coupled with digital literacy, including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn and use different software programs such as Council’s electronic data management system (ECM), Council’s customer request management system and Technology One.
