About Us The Heights School provides a supportive and dynamic environment, delivering quality Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) to children and their families. About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Educator to join our OSHC team on a permanent basis 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours. In this role, you will work closely with the Director and your colleagues, supporting the daily operations and the delivery of high-quality care aligned with the service's philosophy, policies, and procedures. Key Responsibilities Work in accordance with the National Quality Standards, incorporating equity principles into all practices. Prepare, implement, and evaluate quality programs based on individual and group needs of children under supervision. Contribute positively to the team, collaborating with other staff and the Director to support and evaluate daily routines. Ensure the supervision, safety, security, wellbeing and duty of care of all children is consistently met. Assist in maintaining accurate records including attendance, illness, accident reports, behaviour management plans, and observations, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Present observations and extend support to all children, recognising and fostering individual strengths and interests. Respond to and support the individual needs of families, maintaining an environment that is accepting and inclusive. Support the service philosophy and uphold food safety standards. About You Demonstrated experience in a similar OSHC, childcare, or education role. Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and “My Time Our Place” learning framework. Effective time management, organisation, planning, and consultative skills. Proficiency in SPIKE childcare database system (or willingness to be trained). Ability to supervise and support both large and small groups of children. Strong observation, reporting, behaviour management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with students and families in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner. Experience providing customer-focused service and working collaboratively in a team environment. Initiative, professionalism, discretion, and a willingness to accept feedback and direction. Current Working With Children Check, First Aid certification, and Responding to Abuse and Neglect training (or willingness to obtain).
