About Us The Heights School offers quality Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and is committed to fostering a safe, engaging and inclusive environment where every child and family feels welcome and supported. About the Role We are seeking several passionate and qualified OSHC Educators to join our experienced team on a permanent basis, working 20 hours per week with potential for additional hours. These positions provide the opportunity to plan and deliver high-quality programs that nurture children’s wellbeing and development, in collaboration with the Director and fellow team members. Key Responsibilities Meet and maintain compliance with the National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulations. Prepare, implement and evaluate programs based on “My Time Our Place” learning framework and tailored to the individual and group needs of children. Incorporate principles of equity, inclusion and diversity into all aspects of practice. Support the service philosophy, and contribute to continuous improvement and reflective practice. Demonstrate professional knowledge and apply qualified training in planning, supervision, and behaviour guidance. Engage with children to foster growth, learning and wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment. Maintain accurate records, including observations, attendance, accident/illness reports, behaviour management plans, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with the Director and all staff in delivering daily routines, and assess their effectiveness. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture, offering insight and support through mentoring others where appropriate. Communicate clearly and effectively with parents, families and stakeholders to provide information, support and guidance based on each child’s needs. About You Minimum diploma-level qualification in Outside School Hours Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA. Demonstrated experience working in school-aged care, childcare or education settings. Excellent understanding of the National Quality Framework and “My Time Our Place” learning framework. Highly developed organisational, planning, observation and reporting skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with food safety standards and behaviour management strategies. Proficiency in using the SPIKE childcare database system (or willingness to be trained). Strong interpersonal, consultative and supervisory skills. Current Working With Children Check, First Aid certification and Responding to Abuse and Neglect training (or willingness to obtain). Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. Initiative, confidentiality, professionalism and a constructive approach to feedback.
