About the Role Reporting directly to the Founders, the Spa Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational excellence of SOL Elements. Ensuring the bathhouse and spa run smoothly, safely, and to a consistently elevated, five-start standard. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on being present - coaching teams, refining service delivery, and building practical systems that support a calm, seamless guest journey. You will bring structure to daily operations: clear SOPs, rosters, training, quality control, and service rituals - making sure standards are lived in practice, not just documented. Working closely with the Founders, you will help translate brand vision into operational delivery across the bathhouse, spa treatments, memberships, retail, and every guest touchpoint. This role is highly accountable and spans: Daily spa and bathhouse operations Guest experience and service standards Team leadership, rostering, and training Bookings and revenue optimisation (capacity planning, yield, memberships, and add-ons) Operational systems and SOPs Compliance, hygiene, and safety Financial performance and reporting Asset management, development and maintenance What You Will Be Doing Run Daily Operations Oversee day-to-day operations across the bathhouse and spa to ensure smooth, calm service flow Create and manage rosters aligned to demand Own operational checklists, opening/closing procedures, and incident reporting Monitor key operational KPIs (utilisation, rebooking, add-ons, guest feedback) and take action to improve Optimise Operations Identify cost efficiencies while maintaining a premium, elevated five-star experience Work closely with the Founders to translate vision into operational execution Support Brand Execution Partner closely with the Creative Director to execute marketing strategies and campaigns Translate brand vision into tangible guest touchpoints Ensure alignment between marketing, operations, and customer experience Coordinate timing and capacity to protect the guest experience Elevate the Guest Experience Champion a refined, detail-driven service culture across all areas of the business Continuously refine the end-to-end guest journey, from arrival through to post-visit engagement Lead service recovery when issues arise - calmly resolving concerns and protecting the SOL standard Use guest feedback and team observations to coach improvements and prevent repeat issues Oversee Development & Maintenance Manage ongoing maintenance and presentation of all facilities to a five-star standard Oversee relationships with trades, contractors, and specialist service providers Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance across all assets Ensure infrastructure, plant equipment, and wet areas operate safely and efficiently Work alongside the Founders on future development, design refinement, and expansion projects Optimise Bookings, Stock & Service Delivery Oversee bookings flow, capacity planning, and smooth handover between experiences Manage products and consumable stock levels Work with the team to improve retail performance through coaching, product knowledge, and guest education Drive Performance and Revenue Identify and execute opportunities for revenue growth across existing and new offerings Support membership growth by ensuring consistent delivery and team understanding Support expansion planning for future SOL locations Governance & Compliance Ensure compliance across health, safety, and operational regulations Maintain clear records: incidents, maintenance issues, cleaning logs, and training completion About You You are an operationally strong, service-led leader who understands what it takes to deliver a calm, elevated, five-star spa and bathhouse experience - consistently, even when it’s busy. You are passionate about wellness and hospitality and are deeply committed to being part of an exceptional team that genuinely cares - for each other and for every client who walks through the door. You bring: Proven experience as a Spa Operations Manager / Spa Manager / Assistant Spa Manager (or similar) in a premium spa, bathhouse, resort or wellness environment A strong understanding of elevated five-star service standards and guest experience design Confidence with rostering, day-to-day floor leadership, and performance coaching Experience implementing SOPs, training programs, and quality control Comfort with booking systems, capacity management, and operational reporting Solid operational admin skills: stock control, ordering, budgeting, supplier coordination Experience overseeing facilities, maintenance, or property operations Confidence managing trades, contractors, and capital works or upgrades Strong leadership capability with the ability to align, inspire, and elevate teams Strong hygiene/WHS mindset, including safe practices throughout bathhouse You are decisive, accountable, and detail-oriented.
