About The Role We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to support shutdown maintenance cost control across process plant operations. Based in Adelaide, this role will focus on reviewing, incorporating, managing, monitoring and reporting shutdown maintenance costs. You will work closely with the Shutdown Event Leader and key stakeholders to ensure project structures, cost trackers, forecasts, commitments, accruals, variations and close-out activities are managed accurately. There will be times where site attendance is required. Why You’ll Love This Job Adelaide-based role 8 hours per day, 5 days per week 6 month contract $80–$85 per hour super Work across shutdown cost control, SAP, WBS, reporting and forecasting Support cost visibility and financial control through the full shutdown lifecycle Key Responsibilities Create and set up shutdown project structures in SAP, ensuring work orders settle to the correct Capex/Opex shutdown WBS Develop and maintain shutdown cost control systems, including cost trackers, forecasting files, commitments, accruals and reporting processes Review contractor CTRs, quotes, invoices and supplier claims to ensure accuracy and alignment with expected costs Manage purchase orders, coding, cost trends, change registers, emergent work and variation cost control processes Prepare daily, month-end and management cost reports, including graphs, tables, PDFs, PowerPoints and financial analysis Support shutdown financial close-out, including final cost reporting, WBS close-out and financial reconciliation About You Proven experience in cost control, project controls or shutdown cost management roles Strong SAP experience, including WBS structures, work order settlement, purchase orders and cost reporting Experience managing shutdown forecasts, accruals, commitments, trends, variations and close-out processes Strong understanding of Capex/Opex cost control and project financial reporting Advanced Excel and reporting capability, with the ability to build clear cost trackers and management reports Strong attention to detail and confidence working with contractors, suppliers, approvers and shutdown stakeholders Maintenance Systems Solutions Pty Ltd is a privately owned Australian company with offices throughout Australia and internationally.
