About the business and the role We are looking for a reliable Installer / Trade Assistant to join our team installing custom steel windows, doors, balustrades and architectural steelwork across Geelong, Ballarat and Melbourne. This is a hybrid role — when not on-site, you will assist in the workshop assembling steel doors and preparing jobs for installation. This position suits someone who enjoys a mix of site work and hands-on workshop tasks. This is a full time role of 40 hours per week, with some additional overtime available and monthly RDOs. What you’ll be doing Assisting with installation of steel windows, doors and balustrades Using hand and power tools onsite and in the workshop Assembling steel doors and components in the workshop Preparing materials and jobs for installation Loading/unloading materials General workshop and site housekeeping Requirements: White Card 4 years in the building/manufacturing industry (desirable) Current VIC driving license and own transport is essential Prior experience in a similar environment Physical fitness (heavy lifting and manual handling required) Confidently and safely able to use hand/power tools Confidently able to read drawings/plans Ability to work autonomously and effectively Strong attention to detail Exceptional work ethic and reliability Must have well developed organization and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Knowledge and understanding of building and construction methods, materials, and tools Ability to adhere to and enforce strict OH&S protocols and guidelines Remuneration will be based on the successful candidates' ability and experience.
