This role offers the opportunity to work across the Clinical Services Ward, caring for medical, palliative, oncology, and surgical patients, as well as supporting Day Stay services. Flexible shifts are available across days, evenings, and nights, seven days a week. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will deliver high-quality patient care, coordinate and manage clinical needs, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. The role involves clinical practice, patient education, advocacy, and maintaining accurate documentation, while taking responsibility for professional practice aligned with your skills and experience. The Position Be accountable for the direct delivery of safe patient care. Assess the care of each individual through the utilisation of information collected from interview, inspection and observation; plan and implement care as required; identify problems and plan intervention so that expected outcomes are achieved; evaluate outcomes and adjust care plan accordingly. Be involved in the provision of outcome based nursing practice by participating in the development and implementation of a planned nursing care approach. Complete documentation accurately, legibly and to meet legal requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and caregivers; assist in the review of accidents and incidents, and be involved in ensuring that all equipment is maintained in optimal working order. Be actively involved in clinical risk management, including recognising, reporting and resolving adverse events and potential risks. You will have current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), along with demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills relevant to an acute care setting. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer-focused care.
