Job description Our Client Our client is a well respected organisation within the veteran support sector, dedicated to providing meaningful services and community connection for current and ex serving Defence members and their families. An opportunity is now available for an experienced and community focused Centre Coordinator to join the team on a contract basis. Due to the nature of the role, this position is best suited to a current or ex serving Defence member, or someone with a strong personal connection to the veteran community. Contract Details Commencing as soon as possible until October 2026 Paying $43 per hour superannuation Brisbane location The Role This position will play a key role in supporting the day to day operations of a wellbeing centre, focused on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans, families and community members. Coordinating centre activities, wellbeing programs and community events Supporting stakeholder and community engagement initiatives Assisting with scheduling, bookings and administration support Maintaining accurate records and database management Supporting outreach activities and occasional reception coverage Assisting with social media updates and promotion of programs/services Working collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team environment Occasional after hours or weekend work may be required depending on events/programs About You Current or ex serving Defence members, or candidates with a strong connection to the veteran community, are strongly encouraged to apply Advantageous if holding previous experience within coordination, administration, community engagement or wellbeing focused positions Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm and empathetic approach Experience coordinating events, activities or stakeholder engagement initiatives The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast paced environment Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems A collaborative and adaptable approach to work How To Apply If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion.
