The opportunity We are seeking a highly capable Senior Project Accountant Asset Management to join our Energy & Utilities Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This role is based within a large, complex, asset-intensive environment supporting critical infrastructure across capital and operational projects. This is a key commercial finance position responsible for end-to-end financial management of our asset base, including plant, equipment and fleet. You will partner closely with Asset Management, Operations, Project Delivery, and senior leaders to ensure optimal asset utilisation, accurate cost recovery, and strong financial governance. CA/CPA qualified with 10 years experience in financial or project accounting Strong background in asset or fleet accounting and large fixed asset registers Experience in capital-intensive or contracting environments (infrastructure, utilities, construction preferred) Advanced Excel skills with exposure to ERP systems (SAP or JDE desirable) and Power BI advantageous Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate complex financial insights clearly About Energy & Utilities Downers Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
