A well-known Australian retail organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6 month contract, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, fast-paced business environment where you will play a key role supporting month-end, reporting and year-end processes within a collaborative and high-performing finance function. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliations Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting commentary Assist with half-year and year-end reporting and audit requirements Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year Maintain financial integrity across the general ledger Support process improvement initiatives and ad hoc finance projects Mentor junior members within the finance team About You CA/CPA qualified Minimum 4 years’ experience in financial accounting roles Experience within a large corporate environment Retail experience advantageous but not essential Strong Excel skills and attention to detail SAP experience highly regarded Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across the business Proactive, hands-on and solutions focused The Opportunity Immediate start 6 month contract role Join a highly recognised Australian retail brand Collaborative and supportive finance team Exposure to a large and complex business environment If you are immediately available or coming to the end of your current contract and are looking for your next opportunity, please apply now.
