14th May, 2026 Position: Research & Data Insights Volunteer Program Area: Community Engagement Purpose / Objective: The Annual Client Consultation is a key initiative at the Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC), providing an opportunity for people seeking asylum to share their experiences, needs, and ideas. Insights from the consultation directly inform service improvements, program design, and advocacy efforts. Support the analysis and synthesis of consultation data to generate meaningful insights that inform ASC programs and services. Reports to: Community Engagement Specialist Commitment Period: Minimum 2 months Days and hours required per week: May–June 2026, 1 day per week (Monday/Wednesday), 4 hours per day Duties & Responsibilities: Standardise and structure raw survey datasets for downstream analysis Support coding and thematic analysis of open-ended responses Identify key trends, patterns, and insights across data sources Assist in summarising findings into clear, actionable insights Contribute to simple reports, presentations, or internal briefs Support the development of easy-to-read outputs for stakeholders Selection Criteria: Strong analytical and research skills Experience with data analysis (qualitative and/or quantitative) Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel Ability to synthesise information clearly and concisely High attention to detail and confidentiality Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as appropriate Ability to adhere to policies concerning code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality.
