Position Overview Position: Secondary School Administration Officer Workload: Full Time, Term Time only Employment Basis: Fixed-Term Contract (3 months with the potential to extend) Pay: School Officer Level 3 Step 1 ($33.83) Hours: 38 hours per week ( 8.00am - 4.00pm) Start Date: Late June The Role We are seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised Secondary School Administration Officer to join our Secondary School team. As the first point of contact for students, staff, and parents, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and well-organised school environment. This is a varied and people-focused role suited to someone who thrives in a busy setting, enjoys supporting young people, and brings a calm, service-oriented approach to their work. Key Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be a friendly, organised, and proactive individual who can thrive in a busy school environment. They will: Manage student administration processes for students in Years 10-12, including attendance tracking, absentee follow-up (via TASS). Provide high-quality front office and reception support as the first point of contact for students, staff, and parents. Delivering administrative support to teaching staff, including document preparation, data entry, photocopying, and exam coordination Coordinating operational tasks such as lockers, lost property, excursions, custom rolls, and general office administration Maintaining accurate student records, including uniform and ICT breaches Supporting effective communication by liaising with Student and Curriculum Coordinators, staff, and parents Selection Criteria The successful applicant will demonstrate: A genuine commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the College, supporting its mission and community life. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with students, staff, and parents. Strong administrative experience, including managing attendance records, coordinating events, and handling general office duties. Confidence using technology, particularly Microsoft Office and school systems such as TASS (or a willingness to learn). A calm, caring, and professional manner, including the ability to respond appropriately to student needs and assist with basic first aid. Strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to prioritise competing tasks A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a positive team environment. Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information. Experience in a secondary school setting is highly regarded.
