About the role Voted ' Most Outstanding Online Travel Agency' at the National Travel Industry Awards 2025, MyHoliday2 is looking for a full-time Travel Advisor to join our Townsville team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and booking unforgettable holidays for our valued clients. Key Responsibilities: Answering new enquiries and providing ongoing support for new and existing bookings. Liaising with customers and over phone, email, live chat and face to face. Providing support to travel agents in our B2B sector. Understanding and recommending the best travel options to meet client needs and budgets. Handling all aspects of the sales/booking process, including tours, flights, pre/post extensions. Research, quote, and confirm airfares, using GDS systems. Collaborate with suppliers such as airlines, hotels, DMCs, tour operators. Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear instructions, travel documents, and updates. Manage changes, cancellations, name amendments, and emergency issues related to bookings. Coordinate with internal team members (sales, operations, on-site staff) to ensure alignment and service continuity. Stay current on airline policies, visa and entry requirements, and group travel protocols. Stay informed about travel trends, new tour offerings and industry regulations This is not a commission based role, We are a team, not competitors! No Cold Calling! Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education certificate or diploma in travel and tourism preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in travel reservations, flight booking, or tour operations (group travel experience preferred). Experience working with GDS systems (e.g. Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo) or airline/group portals. Skills & Competencies: Strong sales skills. Excellent phone manner. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling passenger data and schedules. Clear and professional written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work under pressure and multi-task. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and CRM or booking systems. Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt quickly to changes or disruptions. Knowledge of international travel regulations and group booking policies.
