You will! The Kath French Secure Care Centre (Secure Care) in Stoneville provides short-term intensive therapeutic care to vulnerable children who are presenting with high-risk behaviours. Part of this care occurs in a secured facility, and we are in the middle of designing a service that allows us to extend this intensive therapeutic support into a community-based service. The team is committed to providing children with safe, trauma informed, therapeutic care during their stay. As a Secure Care Worker you will have an opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team that strive to make a real difference in the lives of children every day. You will work a rotating roster, including weekends and night shifts, and a as part of a small, supportive and compassionate team that are supported by specialist education, psychology and social work staff who prioritise self-care and wellbeing. You will be required to work a rotating roster of morning, afternoon and awake night shifts from Monday to Sunday to support the children in care in a 24/7 service. These roles can be filled on a permanent, temporary (part time or full time) or casual basis.
