Estimator / Procurement Officer – Light Gauge Steel Frames We are seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Estimator / Procurement Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys technical problem‑solving, and can confidently manage both estimating and procurement functions within the light‑gauge steel framing sector. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery from initial tender through to production handover, working closely with clients, suppliers and detailers Key Responsibilities Project Estimating & Documentation Manage the ASF server and production tracker for all new and ongoing projects. Organise, save, and maintain client documentation, drawings, and project records. Use Groundplan to estimate quantities and prepare accurate material take‑offs. Calculate material requirements and prepare detailed project quotations. Prepare client contracts and submit documentation for management approval. Revise quotations and contract details in response to client feedback or project changes. Coordinate collection of client information and documentation for awarded projects. Add and maintain awarded projects within the company server and production tracker. Project Coordination & Detailing Support Submit projects for structural steel layouts and coordinated detailing requirements. Assign detailers to projects based on scope, pricing, and scheduling needs. Manage RFIs between clients, detailers, and engineers as required. Assist with project certification submissions when needed. Create cutting lists for steel beam ordering and factory processing. Prepare installer packages and purchase orders for installation teams. Communicate with clients regarding general project and company enquiries. Calculate and prepare variation pricing for changes in project scope. Procurement & Supplier Management Apply for supplier credit accounts and provide required documentation. Procure factory, office, and site materials and supplies. Liaise with suppliers to maintain accurate, competitive pricing. Source specialised products and materials through supplier networks and online research. Occasionally attend suppliers/retailers in person to collect materials. Request and obtain pricing for specific project scopes of work. Meet with supplier representatives visiting the office. Safety, Compliance & IT Support Manage client safety portal requirements and maintain compliance documentation. Assist with SWMS preparation and general workplace safety administration. Provide general IT support, including troubleshooting, user management, and device setup/configuration. About You We’re looking for someone who brings: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
