The multidisciplinary Agriculture Resource Management and Assessment branch delivers science and advice for sustainable agricultural production in WA. Our services include: Soil Science, Rangelands Science, Water Science, Data Modelling and Analysis, Strategy and Land Use, and Policy. About the opportunities There are two (2) leadership roles for immediate filling from this pool process - in the below areas: Strategy and Land Use: Providing land use planning advice, policies, decision tools and interagency engagement; and expert services in program evaluation and improvement, agricultural extension to engage farmers, website, publications. Rangelands Science: Supporting science-based regulation of sustainable grazing with pastoral lease inspections, rangelands condition assessments, advice and status reporting, policies and standards, vegetation survey, mapping and monitoring, pastoralist engagement. Both roles manage multidisciplinary teams, utilising leadership skills and specialist science experience/qualifications to deliver outcomes for the respective programs. About you We want candidates with transferrable skills in team leadership, project or program delivery and stakeholder engagement from a range of backgrounds, including: Natural resource management or environmental management (e.g. resource management planning, regulation, consulting). Applied science projects, programs, monitoring or research. Land use planning (e.g. urban, regional, strategic planning; any sector). Strategy or policy development, or inter-agency/inter-organisational liaison. Strategic communications, stakeholder engagement or government relations.
