The University Program Management Office (UPMO) The University Program Management Office (UPMO) drives strategic change at ECU through portfolio, program, and project management services, supporting ECUs strategic initiatives portfolio, providing a centre of excellence, and delivering high impact, complex strategic change initiatives. About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join UPMO as a University PMO Portfolio Analyst. Reporting to the Director UPMO, this role plays a critical part in enabling informed decision making by providing high quality portfolio analysis, reporting and insights across ECU’s strategic initiatives portfolio, programs and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working across complex environments and partnering with diverse stakeholders to provide actionable decision-making information which leads to successful outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have PMO experience. You will: Provide analysis, reporting and scenario modelling for ECU’s strategic portfolio of programs and projects Develop and maintain portfolio reporting and visualisations including portfolio status, prioritisation, resourcing, benefits tracking, roadmaps and dependency mapping Produce high quality program and project reports covering cost, schedule, scope, risk and benefits, and facilitate implementation of effective systems and tools for governance and reporting. Support portfolio governance through health checks, gate reviews and continuous improvement activities Analyse data from multiple sources to develop concise insights, options and recommendations for executive decision making Develop and maintain portfolio and reporting frameworks, templates, tools and documentation aligned to best practice Build strong collaborative relationships with executives, project teams and professional staff across the University About you You are an analytical and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast paced, complex environment. You will bring: Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience Demonstrated experience in PMO, portfolio, program and project analysis, including reporting and governance support. Experience with the collaborative development of portfolio management capabilities and reporting frameworks will be well regarded. A strong working understanding of project and program lifecycle methodologies High level analytical capability, with the ability to synthesise data and present clear, actionable insights Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel (intermediate to advanced) and reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI and PPM solutions Proven ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing demands and deadlines Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.
