POSITION DESCRIPTION Senior Engineer Updated: 19 NOV 25 TM-HR-PD43 Page 1 of 2 Scope To be a senior member of the engineering team, including: • Lead the development of mechanical components and systems for Launch & Recovery Systems or other equipment. • Mentor junior members of the team. • Other Engineering activities as required. HSEQ Responsibilities • Comply with company HSEQ Management System Requirements and Standards • Report all hazards and incidents in a timely manner • Participate in any relevant HSEQ Training, Drills or Exercises • Participate in any relevant audits or inspections • Raise any HSEQ concerns with the HSEQ Committee or Manager • Be responsible for their own safety and of the others around them Position reports to: Engineering Manager Working Relationships • Thrust Maritime teams including sales, engineering, production and project management. • Clients • Subcontractors Specific Accountabilities • Completing detailed product design and analysis of mechanical components for use in a maritime environment. This may include conducting hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis as appropriate. • Designing for mechanical product testing and manufacture. • Designing / specifying and supporting the procurement/manufacture of mechanical components. • Technical report writing to support your design works. • The development of operational requirements, procedures and detailed task planning for vessel integration, mobilisations, or offshore operations. • Works on multiple scopes concurrently. • Liaising and working closely with other mechanical engineers, naval architects, electrical, fluid power and controls engineers. • Assist in maintaining company compliancy documents to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001. • Assist with making the company more efficient by streamlining/automating the above where possible. POSITION DESCRIPTION Senior Engineer Updated: 19 NOV 25 TM-HR-PD43 Page 2 of 2 Qualifications and Experience Mandatory • A degree from a recognised tertiary institution in either Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering with significant Maritime experience. • Ability to manage a range of varying tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve performance targets. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • The ability to analyse problems and develop practical and achievable solutions, including performing detailed stress analysis and FEA. • Knowledge of vessel dynamics. Experience working in Maritime Environment. • Proficiency in the following: o 3D CAD (Solidworks Preferred) o AutoCAD. o Microsoft Office suite. Desirable • Design of Lifting Equipment to maritime codes. • Proficiency in the following: o Ansys o Maxsurf suite o Orcaflex • Knowledge of hydraulic system design. • Dogman and rigger certificates. • Offshore or Subsea experience. • Project Management experience.
