About the role We are seeking an experienced Deep Trenching Excavator Operator to join our construction team in Adelaide, SA and surrounding areas. In this full-time role, you will be assisting our crew complete the installation of sewer mains in the subdivision sector. You will be responsible for operating excavators to the highest safety standards, completing basic maintenance on your machine and installing trench shields/boxes. What you'll be doing Safe operation of hydraulic excavators. Digging deep, to specified depths and dimensions for the installation of utilities. Maintaining the equipment, performing pre-start checks and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety Adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations on site Collaborating with the construction team to complete projects on time and to the highest quality standards What we're looking for Minimum 3 years' experience as a Deep Trenching Excavator Operator in the construction industry Excellent knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to work in accordance with OHS requirements Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to adapt to site conditions Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently Good communication skills to liaise with the construction crew and project managers Experience specific to sewer is preferred.
