IT Technology Engineer Are you a versatile IT professional who thrives in a purpose-driven environment? We are looking for an ICT Technology Engineer to join a centrally managed team based in Melbourne’s CBD . This is an immediate-start, 3 month long contract with a high possibility of extension to a one-year engagement for the right candidate. This role is critical in ensuring the "backbone" of the school's technology just works, minimizing interruptions for staff and students. The Opportunity You will be part of a distributed ICT Services team that supports both individual campuses and central service functions. This position offers a unique blend of high-level infrastructure management and essential end-user facing service delivery. Rate: $40 AUD per hour (inclusive of super). Location: On-site 5 days per week in Melbourne CBD. Tenure: 3-month initial contract with strong potential for long-term extension. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management: Carry out routine provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure. Systems Integration: Ensure ICT systems are integrated, reliable, and secure while aligning with organizational goals. Support Services: Act as a service desk point of contact for level 1 and 2 tasks when required. Cyber Security: Apply security controls, monitor compliance, and conduct authorized proactive cyber activities to neutralize threats. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network architecture, system configurations, and Standard Operational Procedures. Requirements Experience: 3 years of experience in supporting IT Infrastructure. Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, Jamf, Cisco Meraki, and Apple School Manager . Cloud Platforms: Experience managing public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is highly regarded. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT is required. Compliance: You must hold a valid Working with Children Check , a National Police Check, and a valid Australian Driver’s Licence. Are you ready to make an impact?
