JOB DESCRIPTION We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance team on our afternoon shift (M-F). Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will is responsible for machine fault finding, equipment repairs, ongoing preventative maintenance and general trouble shooting duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Routine maintenance functions for the manufacturing facility Machine fault finding to ensure challenging production targets are met and equipment optimization Monitor equipment to identify possible breakdown and repair Assist in developing and introducing improved engineering methods throughout the plant while maintaining HACCP and GMP standards Maintain documentation as required Ensure the workshop and associated areas are maintained and clean, this includes any and all areas worked in Ensures onsite work is completed and submitted using the appropriate maintenance forms and permits. Participating in the ongoing preventative maintenance program. Our plant is highly automated, including state of the art robotic systems, with an extensive variety of packaging equipment. Your skills will be enhanced with exposure to these complex systems. JOB CRITERIA To be successful in this role, you will possess: Relevant trade qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience within a fixed plant manufacturing environment; food manufacturing will be considered as an advantage for this position Knowledge of WHS&E requirements and safe work practices Turner ability will be considered as an advantage for this position Competent mechanical knowledge of industrial manufacturing plant and machinery Knowledge of pneumatic & Hydraulic systems Basic welding – Stick & mig (desirable) Australian Work Rights - overseas candidates will not be considered.
