We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our talented team! Position Details Role: Full-Time Chef Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 per annum Location: Campbelltown NSW 2560 Main Duties and Responsibilities - Prepare and cook meals while maintaining consistency in quality, portion sizes, and presentation standards. - Collaborate with management to develop menus that cater to customer preferences, utilise seasonal ingredients, align with the restaurant’s theme, and adhere to dietary requirements and regulations. - Calculate food and labour costs, order supplies, and oversee inventory to enhance kitchen efficiency and minimise waste. - Manage food expenses and portion sizes to align with budget targets and reduce waste. - Implement and uphold food safety and hygiene standards according to regulations. - Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high culinary standards are maintained. - Coordinate with management to align kitchen operations with the restaurant’s needs, particularly during peak service times. - Address customer feedback and complaints related to food quality, ensuring customer satisfaction and making necessary adjustments. Skills and Qualifications - Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. - At least 3 years of proven experience in Indian cuisine, with strong knowledge of spices, flavours, and traditional cooking techniques. - In-depth understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management procedures. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a kitchen team. - Effective communication skills with both staff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations. - Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
