Early Learning Centre - Cook About the role We’re excited to be opening a brand-new Early Learning Centre in 2026 in Campbelltown, co-located with St John’s Catholic School and offering long day care and preschool programs for children aged 2–5 years. As the ELC Cook, you will support children’s health and wellbeing by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks while maintaining strong food safety and hygiene standards. Working closely with the Centre Director and Educators, you will help create positive mealtime experiences in a warm, inclusive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to help establish a new centre and make a meaningful difference for children and families in the local community. What You Bring to the Role Certificate III in Food Handling or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential) Certifications including First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain. A current Working with Children Check Experience preparing nutritious meals and managing kitchen operations in early childhood, education, health or community settings. Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, hygiene standards and allergy management requirements. Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills, including stock control and ordering. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. A strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive, culturally responsive practices.
