We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our busy commercial kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Preparing and cooking meals while ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality Organising kitchen operations to support efficient food service during busy periods Assisting with the creation and improvement of menus and specialty dishes Monitoring inventory levels, arranging stock orders, and reducing unnecessary food waste Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food handling procedures Coordinating food preparation activities with other kitchen team members Checking portion sizes, plating, and overall meal presentation before service Controlling cost and budget the kitchen. Recruit, monitor, train and supervise kitchen team Ensuring all kitchen practices comply with workplace health, safety, and food safety regulations Essential Requirements Minimum Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification At least 1 year of full-time experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills Skills relevant to commercial cookery, menu preparation, stock control, and kitchen coordination Employment Details Position: Full-Time Chef Salary: Competitive salary plus superannuation Location: Broadbeach, QLD, Australia Only suitable candidates with relevant qualifications and commercial kitchen experience will be considered.
