Description Job Description The People and Culture Advisor plays a key role in shaping an engaged and values-aligned workplace by providing trusted guidance across the full employee lifecycle. This position supports leaders and employees with practical, people centred advice, drives continuous improvement in people processes, and contributes to a culture where people feel supported and empowered to do their best work. Working closely with the wider People and Culture team, leaders, and employees, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in an evolving environment, stays organised and brings solid HR coordination and advisory experience. The role is full-time [70] hours per fortnight based at of our Gadigal (Sydney) Office on Elizabeth Street. What’s the People and Culture Team you say? The People & Culture (P&C) team partners with ACON’s leaders and employees to help foster a connected, collaborative and engaged workplace. The team delivers effective people and culture guidance to the organisation including recruitment services, onboarding, performance development, learning, development and capability, payroll and remuneration. In addition to core services, People & Culture works on wider workplace engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives. Ok, so what’s the role? The People and Culture Advisor will work across the organisation to provide expert advice, guidance and support to ACON’s people. This includes people advisory services, policy, process and systems development, learning, development and capability building and contributions to broader organisational initiatives. The role includes: Supporting leaders by providing timely, compliant, and appropriate advice and guidance Coaching managers to guide and support them on a range of people matters and processes Conducting workplace investigations in line with policies and procedures, escalating complex matters as required Supporting the effective delivery of key people and culture processes, including probation and ACON’s performance cycle, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience. Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of People and Culture policies, processes, and procedures Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives Supporting employees and leaders to adopt the HRIS (ELMO) and partner with the organisation to optimise its capabilities Conducting regular reviews of training requirements across the organisation to support compliance obligations, build workforce capability, and identify current and future development needs. We are looking for someone with: A qualification in HR and/or equivalent demonstrable people advisory experience (2-3 years) delivering high quality People & Culture services A strong knowledge of industrial instruments, SCHADS Award, employment and industrial relations issues Experience in managing workplace investigations Proven capability in ELMO HRIS administration, optimisation, and workflow management. Salary : $96,542 Gross Annual Salary (PLUS Superannuation and Leave Loading) Location : ACON’s Gadigal (Surry Hills) office, with flexible working options (away from the office). Hours : Full-Time (70 hours per fortnight) on an ongoing permanent contract. Salary Packaging up to $35,000 gross up value (i.e., currently up to $15,900 Expenses $2,650 Meals, tax free).
