As an Electrical Mechanic within our dynamic team, you'll be responsible for the installation and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure, including Traffic Signals, Street Lighting, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Your work will align with departmental standards, focusing on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions that support safe and efficient transport networks. The remuneration reflects base pay only. Generous provisions are available under the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services Employees (Queensland Government) Award - State 2016 and the Transport and Main Roads Operational Employees' Certified Agreement 2022. Extra provisions may include weekend and on-call duties with applicable penalty rates paid. Your Success In This Role Will Be Contingent Upon Your ability to articulate clear and effective communication, tailored to various stakeholders. Demonstrable expertise in Electrical Installation, Street Lighting, Traffic Signal and ITS construction/maintenance principles. Mandatory Requirements To Apply For This Role Include Electrical Mechanic with Valid Electrical Work Licence. Up to date CPR certification and proficiency in Live LV Panel rescue. Possession of a White card (General Safety Induction (Construction Industry)). Valid Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or equivalent. While a MR truck licence and EWP licence is desirable; if you are the successful candidate, we can support you in gaining these licences once you commence employment with us.
