About the role As a casual Support Worker, you will support participants under the influence of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) by monitoring their wellbeing, responding to immediate needs, and maintaining a safe, structured and caring environment. You will conduct regular checks, support participants through withdrawal, manage challenging behaviours with confidence and empathy, and ensure clear communication and documentation across the team. This is a 24‑hour service where your calm, grounded presence makes a real difference. This casual position is based at the Bridge House Sobering Up Unit, reporting to the Team Leader Support Services. Pay is in accordance with a SCHADS Level 3. Shifts are negotiated based on business needs and staff availability.
