About CatholicCare NT and the Program CatholicCare NT is a not-for-profit organisation, providing social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools and agencies across the Northern Territory. We offer a range of services focused on Children, families, and the community. We work from a "no wrong door" ethos, with the aim of offering wrap around supports to families who need them. Children and Parenting The Children and Parenting program aims to support families, strengthen relationships, improve the wellbeing of children and young people, and increase participation in community life to enhance family and community functioning. The program provides a range of evidence-based programs and a range of developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children. Parents (Kinship, guardians, carers), are also supported to increase capacity, develop knowledge, skills, and support to raise healthy children. Services focus on children aged 0-12 but may include children up to age 18 as necessary and their families. Family Mental Health Support Service The Family Mental Health Support Service Program provides early intervention and non-clinical community mental health support (including targeted therapeutic group work for children and young people aged up to 18 years who are showing signs of, or are at risk of, developing mental illness About the role The Lead Practitioner is responsible for the implementation, leadership and integration of the following program/s: Children and Parenting Support Services and Family Mental Health Support; in order for the program/s to meet their objectives. Program portfolios may be subject to change within the contract period. This position has a particular focus on leading and mentoring program staff, applying professional knowledge and support whilst providing direct services and managing complex client work. What we are looking for Relevant degree, post graduate qualification or associate diploma with substantial experience in a similar role. Minimum five years’ experience in relevant practice and team leadership.
