THE ROLE The Manager, Executive Response and Coordination (MERC), Office of the Deputy Secretary, West Division is responsible for supporting and responding to highly sensitive matters and managing relationships that protect and enhance the reputation of the department. This is achieved by: coordinating and managing responses to enquiries from a range of stakeholders providing internal consultancy to the Deputy Secretary and members of the divisional executive undertaking whole-of-division projects in areas of specific importance managing processes and associated reporting to ensure the division meets its performance obligations across a range of key areas. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, briefs, and submissions on complex policy and operational issues. This includes coordinating and managing regular and ad hoc reporting and correspondence to the divisional executive and Deputy Secretary. Prepare and present high-level communication material and provide authoritative and strategic advice relating to operational issues and undertake projects to improve business processes. Actively facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across the division and department to coordinate critical projects (including organisational change strategies where required).
