Your responsibilities will include: WHS Program Leadership: Design, develop, implement, and continuously maintain comprehensive WHS programs, policies, and procedures, with a strategic focus on high-risk operational sites (e.g., non-drive facilities). This includes developing robust risk assessments, proactively identifying hazards, and implementing effective control measures. Ensuring Site Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular, proactive site visits (including interstate travel) to monitor adherence to WHS procedures, identify potential hazards, and collaborate with site leadership to integrate WHS into operational developments. Incident Management & Resolution: Oversee the end-to-end WHS incident management process for frontline incidents, leading or supporting thorough investigations, applying root cause analysis, and tracking corrective and preventative actions to ensure effective resolution and prevent recurrence. Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Build, cultivate, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, driving collective ownership of safety in operational settings. Developing Training & Wellbeing: Develop, deliver, and evaluate engaging WHS and Wellbeing training programs tailored for frontline staff, promote awareness and utilisation of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and actively champion broader employee wellness initiatives. Hazard Management & Remediation: Manage the comprehensive process of hazard reporting and resolution for operational areas, tracking identified hazards, assigning responsibilities, and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., Facilities, Operations) to ensure timely, effective, and sustainable remediation. WHS Committee & HSR Guidance: Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and dedicated support to Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and WHS Committee members focused on operational environments, empowering them and ensuring effective governance. Performance Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, analyse, and distribute regular, insightful reports on WHS performance, trends, and key analytics derived from frontline incidents, hazards, near misses, and site observations to provide actionable intelligence for informed decision-making. New Site Safety & Pre-Occupancy Assessment: Conduct comprehensive safety walkthroughs and risk assessments for new operational sites or significant site modifications, proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards in close collaboration with the Facilities team. Audit & Assurance: Conduct and oversee internal and external WHS audits specifically for frontline operations to systematically assess compliance with legislative requirements, internal standards, and the WHS Management System, driving continuous improvement. Safety Culture Advocacy: Actively champion and foster a positive, proactive, and resilient safety culture throughout the organisation's frontline, promoting an environment of open communication and shared accountability.
