Job Description Position: APS6 Business Analyst Location: Canberra however remote working arrangements may be considered Start date: ASAP Duration: Approximately 12 months with potential to extend for 2x12 months Pay rate: Rates negotiable dependent on skills and experience Security requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance Overview: Our Federal Government client is seeking experienced and motivated Business Analysts to support the delivery of a range of ICT projects within a large and complex environment. These projects include initiatives involving artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with a strong focus on improving business processes and service delivery. Responsibilities: Analyse and model current and future business processes and information management environments Gather and document business and data requirements, including user pathways and information flows Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities to understand and translate business needs into effective solutions Develop high-quality documentation including business requirements, user stories, process maps, business cases, and reports Conduct research and analysis activities aligned with organisational policies and frameworks Evaluate solution options and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications Contribute to strategic analysis of proposed solutions, considering broader organisational impacts Work collaboratively in Agile teams to deliver artefacts for complex ICT and digital projects Experience/requirements: Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and developing business scenarios, process maps, data models, and use cases Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria Proven experience working on complex digital or ICT projects in an Agile environment Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills Desirable: Experience delivering or supporting IT service implementations Experience documenting requirements for office or enterprise technologies Familiarity with Azure DevOps for user story creation and tracking Knowledge or experience with Dynamics 365 or Power Platform Apply now or contact SOS Recruitment on 6260 8888 for a confidential discussion.
