Location: Perth CBD Salary: $56 – $63 per hour Super (Level 4) Work Type: Full-Time / Contract Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary / Administrative Officer to provide comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and operational support within a busy legal practice setting. This is a high-impact role requiring a professional who can manage complex diaries, interface with key stakeholders, and ensure the smooth running of branch operations. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support: Manage executive diaries, coordinate meetings, and arrange comprehensive regional travel, including vehicle bookings and accommodation. Legal Documentation: Prepare and format high-quality correspondence, court documents, agendas, minutes, and briefing materials. Compliance & Filing: Assist with the preparation of and compliance with subpoenas, and maintain legal resource databases and case management systems. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for internal clients and external stakeholders, providing exceptional service in person and over the phone. Operational Assistance: Support the branch with HR, finance, budgeting, and IT-related administrative tasks. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance work practices and assist in developing the branch’s suite of administrative procedures. Skills & Experience Legal Background: Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or providing admin support in a legal/regulatory environment is highly regarded. Organizational Excellence: Proven ability to manage competing priorities and complex travel logistics. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal case management or record-keeping systems. Communication: High-level verbal and written communication skills with a strong eye for detail. Initiative: A self-starter who can suggest improvements to systems and procedures.
