The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting firm. In this role, you will work directly under the Director/Partner, providing essential accounting, taxation, and business support services to our clients. Key Responsibilities Attending to clients' taxation and accounting requirements. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and superannuation funds. Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS). Managing client relationships and responding to queries as needed. Reviewing and delegating work to onshore/offshore staff. Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies. Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting and tax laws. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial strategies and plans. Advising clients on business improvements, cost reductions, and revenue growth opportunities. Preparing forecasts, budgets, and cash flow analysis for clients. Assisting in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and statutory reports. Collaborating with the internal team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Training and mentoring junior staff members to ensure high-quality work and professional development. What We’re Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting firm. Strong understanding of accounting principles and Australian tax law for individuals, trusts, companies and SMSFs. Proficiency in preparing financial accounts, tax returns, and other lodgements. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage workflow and work under pressure. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, MYOB, XERO, BGL. Leadership, customer service, and managerial skills. Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field. Australian citizens or candidates with full working rights are highly prioritized. Additional Requirements Eligible to work in Australia with immediate availability.
