Our client is seeking an experienced professional to take full ownership of a multi-disciplinary camp construction program, from concept through to commissioning and operational handover. This is a FIFO from Queensland to PNG. The Role The role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of a major FIFO Village project, including accommodation facilities, bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, utilities and services. This is a complex brownfield environment requiring strong leadership, stakeholder coordination and technical expertise across construction, infrastructure and services integration. Key Responsibilities Deliver projects across the full lifecycle: feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover Manage scope including accommodation buildings, earthworks, civil works, water, sewer, electrical and utilities Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets and risk registers Administer contracts and manage procurement packages and tender processes Lead design reviews, constructability assessments and risk workshops (HAZOP/HAZID/FMECA) Manage project reporting including cost and schedule performance (CPI, SPI, EAC, VAC) Coordinate interfaces with camp services, operations, community and stakeholder groups Oversee SAP asset integration including asset hierarchies, maintenance strategies and handover documentation Lead and mentor project teams, supervisors and contractors Qualifications Degree in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering, Construction Management or similar Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ, CPEng or equivalent) Experience 15 years’ project delivery experience, including 8 years managing large-scale construction projects Proven delivery of camp / accommodation / infrastructure projects in remote or brownfield environments Experience in mining, oil & gas or large-scale construction camps Strong contract management experience (AS4000 / AS4902 or similar) Experience managing multiple concurrent projects valued at USD $100M Demonstrated leadership of multicultural and remote workforce teams Experience with modular or prefabricated construction methods Familiarity with PNG or similar regulatory environments highly regarded Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of stage-gate / FEL project delivery Knowledge of AS/NZS standards, NCC and relevant building codes Experience with earned value management (EVM) and project controls Ability to lead constructability and risk workshops Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Commercially astute with solid financial management capability Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project and SAP Working Condition FIFO roster: 3 weeks onsite PNG / 3 weeks offsite QLD During offsite periods, work is conducted Monday to Friday with weekends off Remote, tropical environment with high rainfall, mountainous terrain and active mining conditions Availability required during critical construction phases, shutdowns and incident response Pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing and PNG work permit / visa compliance required Apply now to take ownership of a large-scale camp construction project and deliver lasting impact in a remote operations environment.
