About Magryn & Associates Established in 1994, Magryn & Associates is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in Somerton Park, Adelaide. We work across structural, coastal, maritime and forensic engineering for clients ranging from individual homeowners to local and state government. Our team is known for thoroughness, practical advice and a genuine commitment to our clients. We work across residential, strata and commercial properties throughout metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia. The Opportunity This is a varied role for a structural engineer who enjoys problem-solving and wants to do more than run calculations at a desk. You will spend most of your time on building investigation work: getting out to sites, figuring out why things have gone wrong, and writing clear reports that help clients understand what they're dealing with and what to do about it. The rest of your time will be on structural design. No two days look the same. One day you might be trying to diagnose cracking in a 19th century bungalow; the next you're reviewing design drawings or preparing a framing layout. If that kind of variety appeals to you, this role is worth a serious look. We are open to candidates at different stages of their career. If you are a few years in and interested in developing investigation skills alongside your structural work, we will support that. If you are more experienced and ready to step into a senior position with a clear path to leading the team, that option is also on the table.
